John played for the Boston Red Sox from 1992 to 2001 before finishing his career with the New York Mets in 2002. A 1995 Silver Slugger Award winner and member of the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame, John holds a distinction no other Major League player can claim: in three different games, he turned an unassisted triple play, hit for the cycle and blasted three home runs.
John shares the stories behind his unforgettable triple play and historic cycle, along with his thoughts on the current Red Sox, the MLB playoff picture and the use of instant replay in baseball. He also looks back on playing for some memorable Red Sox teams alongside legendary teammates such as Pedro Martinez and Mo Vaughn, his former Seton Hall teammate.
