Kerry Fraser is one of the most recognizable and respected referees in National Hockey League (NHL) history. He discusses communicating with coaches with stories about him & Caps coach Bryan Murray. Known for his distinctive appearance—particularly his perfectly coiffed, helmetless hair—Fraser officiated in the NHL for over 30 years. One of the most controversial moments of Fraser’s career came during the 1993 Campbell Conference Final between the Los Angeles Kings and Toronto Maple Leafs. He missed a high-sticking call on Wayne Gretzky, who then went on to score the game-winning goal. The incident remains one of the most discussed officiating decisions in NHL playoff history. GOAT salad.
